Our Media II is a pre-conference one day event in Barcelona on Saturday, July 20 2002, as part of a major international conference (IAMCR) on media research to be held in the city. Our event will involve alternative media practitioners and researchers from all over the world. It is planned as a follow-up to the successful pre-conference entitled Our Media Not Theirs held at the annual ICA conference in Washington DC in May 2001.

Our Media II consists of short informal 5-10 minute presentations on the basis of already distributed papers followed by a discussion. The event will include 4 panels, each with 3-5 presentations, for a total of 22 speakers. Papers will be available on this web site.

This session is supported by the Community Communication Section of IAMCR, the Faculty of Communication of the University Ramon Llull, the Institut de la Comunicaci— (InCom-UAB), and the Ford Foundation.
